The Fitch History in Washington

Updated January 20, 2001

About Our Family Research

During a search several years ago, my grandfather, Raymond Fitch, discovered a close link to King Edward through my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather, Dan Sawyer. I am the great granddaughter of author Harland Fitch, whose parents, William Wallace Fitch and Clara E. Greenfield, died in Pasadena, CA. Survivng family includes, William Fitch of San Antonio, TX, Donnell Fitch of Olympia, WA and Darlene Fitch of Spokane, WA. Their brother, David W. Fitch, passed away on May 26, 2000 from a stroke. He lived in Federal Way, WA and his funeral in June 2000, was the last time the entire Fitch family was together. I am hoping to confirm the information my grandfather found and locate any other Fitchs that we are related to. We know that there was a cousin, John Christianson, who was killed in the Korean War. We also think there may be connections to the Greenfield family, which turns out to be my mother's step-mother's maiden name.
