Joseph Griffith (son of Issac Griffith and Ann Burson) was born 22 Oct 1758 in Maryland, and died 20 May 1833 in Morgan, KY. He married (1) Phebe Hudson. He married (2) Polly Webb.

Notes for Joseph Griffith:
He was living in Brunswick, Co. VA. when he enlisted in the Revolutionary War. Joseph Griffith was a personal "life"guard of General George Washington and witnessed Cornwallace surrender his sword to General Washington.His place of residence was listed as Morgan County, Tenn. when he applied for a Revolutionary War pension in 1833.
