HENRY ELSY³ ELSEY (JOSEPH ELSY², HENRY¹) was born May 30, 1828 in Bedingfield England - parish confirmed, and died 1908 in Pilot Mound Cemetary, Pilot Mound Manitoba. age 76 years 3 months 28 days.. He married MARY (RUTH) ROTT 1857 in Beamsville Baptist Church , Beamsville, Ontario, daughter of JACOB ROTT and LEAH SNYDER. She was born 1831 in Beamsville , Ontario - Baptist Church of Beamsville, and died May 14, 1912 in Pilot Mound Cemetary, Pilot Mound Manitoba. age 80 years 9 months.

In 1881 Henry and Mary moved to Stayner Ontario with their five sons and two daughters.
Henry and David are shown on the church records of Beamsville Baptist chuch as members by "letter",
as well as Margaret Jane. Henry, David, Margaret J. and Mary J. Elsey's are shown as members
on the 1858 membership list of Beamsville Baptist Church as well as being "by letter" members as of 1857 (see church membership list Nov 29), with Mary and Margret, and David.

In 1881 Henry , Mary and family moved to Pilot Mound area. Frank stayed in Ontario and didnt come out to Carman, Man. untill after 1900.
On Nov. 12, 1903 Henry and Mary celebrated fiftieth anniversary of their marriage at the home of their son, H.H. Elsey of Pilot Mound, surrounded by six children and many grand children. Henry Root,
brother of the bride, from Langdon N.D. USA, also attended.
According to newspaper Mary (Ruth) Elsey joined Baptist Church in Beamsville Ont. in 1848, and
Henry joined in 1851.

William (Uncle) started out with them but stopped in here (Stokesley) and started a top racing stable.
