I am researching the Elwell family and have traced our ancestors to Eleazer Smith Elwell, b. 24 March 1807 in Salem County, New Jersey. So far I have been unsuccessfull in locating any earlier ancestors. Eleazer was married to Lydia Cook Adams and the had six children; Charles b. 1832, Isaac b. 1834, Mary Emma b. 1836, Edward b. 1839, Martha b. 1841 and Annie b. 1845. I am a direct decendent of Isaac. I am hoping to contact decendents of Isaac's siblings in the hope they may know more of our history than I have been able to uncover.
Other family names I am also interested in researching are Sanderson, Poole, Fish, Boyd, Sheehan and DeCrow.
