I am researching the Emanuel family, that branched in Ecuador, South America. My great-grandfather Carlos Emanuel went to Ecuador towards the end of the 19th century, around 1890, and had two children, one of them, Carlos Segundo Emanuel, born in 1893, is my grandfather. According to family tradition, my great grandfather was originally from Italy and went to Ecuador by way of New York, to where he supposedly returned before WWI. We have no records of him apart from an autographed picture taken around 1900 in Ecuador. And we would like very much to receive any information that could help us document his identity and establish his whereabouts after he left Ecuador.
