The Bowles Sherman Tree

This is a search of the family tree of Dawn Susan Bowles. I have found a great deal of information about her mother Julia Gorver's side fo the family. However, I am having trouble locating informationon her father's side Donald Francis Bowles. I have not been able to locate his father or his mother, other than his father when he was a child on the 1880 census. His mother was Ellen McHale and I have not found any McHales that match individuals in her family. Her brother was Patrick McHale and his wife was Alice. I do not have birth or death dates for any of them. They are all Irish but I am not sure when they came to America but it was in the 1800's. Any information any one might have or ideas on how to find them would be appreciated. Also, they lived in Mass. and Maine for the most part.
