Looking for any information on Anna Belle's ancestors: Philip DELL, born about 1798 in Germany, d. 1842 in Allegheny, PA. Came to the US as a young lad and settled in Philadelphia. He operated a stage coach route from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh for many years beginning in 1820. Later moved to the Pittsburgh area. On April 13, 1813 he married Elizabeth WISLER/WHISTLER b. France d. before 1842. They had 12 children: Margaret, Catherine, John, Elizabeth, Joseph, Philip, Hannah, Rachel, Magdalena, Jacob, Henry and Mary.

John Campen MIXON, (son of John Mixon and Elizabeth Campen and brother of William Alexander Mixon) b. 1840 in Memphis, Tennessee, m. 1862 Martha (aka Mattie) Ewing ROSS, b. 2/1/1844 in Carmi, Illinois. John d. 1913, Mattie d. 1/10/1929. John was a Civil War Veteran, serving as a private in Capt. Burrell's Co. I First Regt. Ill. Cav. John and Mattie were long time residents of St. Helena, CA and are buried there. John was a carpenter and also owned a furniture store and funeral home in St. Helena. They had the following children: William Frank b. 6/11/1863 in Illinois;d. 11/4/1943 in St. Helena; Ella Leonore b. 9/30/1867 in Garrett, KS, d. 9/6/1960 in Yakima, WA., m. George Frederic EMERY 9/17/1891 in St Helena, CA; Lola Grace b. 8/28/1870 in Kansas, d. July 1963, married (1) 3/19/1896, Edward Henry BALDWIN, (2) Frank MACKINDER (Frank and then Lola were publishers of the St. Helena Star) Earl Knox, b. 2/11/1873, d. 1/24/1878; Mary Pearl, b. 9/12/1875, d. 2/2/1878; J.O. b. 2/14/1878, d. December 1965; Anna Ross, b. 10/4/1880; Hettie, b. 8/10/1885, d. 9/1/1885; and Edna Ruth, b. 2/20/1887, d. 1/17/1918.
