Our Mullet family came to Ohio from Switzerland in 1833. Little is known of their life prior to their arrival to the United States. The basis of my research is Nadine Getz's book, "We Would Remember", published in 1950. My goal is to update and expand this information.

The Hans MOLLAT family lived in Oberamsern, Solothurn, Switerland circa mid- to late 1700's. Records from Switzerland spell the name MOLLAT and MOLLET; in the United States, most records read MULLET.

Hans MOLLAT was married to Maria RAZ, or RATZ.
Known children:
(1) Magdalena MOLLAT b. 8 March 1767
(2) Niclaus MOLLAT b. 4 Sept. 1768
(3) Johannes MOLLAT b. 1 Sept 1771 - 18 July 1868
(4) Maria MOLLAT b. 4 July 1773
(5) Jacob MOLLAT b. 23 April 1775
(6) Anna MOLLAT b. 24 Nov. 1776
(7) Barbara MOLLAT b. 7 June 1778
(8) Elsbeth MOLLAT b. 1 July 1781

Johannes is my ancestor, coming to America in 1833, along with his children and grandchildren. They settled in Coshocton and Holmes counties in Ohio. I am looking for any information on the above families.
