EMENS - EMANS - EMONS - EMMONS GENEALOGYEMENS, EMANS, EMONS, and all three with double m"s. I am
researching my Emens family, but have found that my ancestors
had their surnames spelled using all six spellings above. My
ancestors from the original emigrant down to me are as follows:
Jan Emans, Abraham Emans, Daniel Emans, Peter Petrus Emens,
John P. Emens, William I. Emens, Peter W. Emens, Walter S. Emens
Frederic Emens, and Nathaniel Emens. My weak link is Peter
Petrus Emens. Two sources believe Petrus Emans and Peter Emens
are the same person, but I have no proof. I just got my
computer in April, so I am still learning how to use it. This
is my first time on the Home Page of FTM, today 1/15. Any help
you may give me in my research would be greatly appreciated. I
am willing to share my research with you at any time.Contact me
at my E-mail address (Nemens@aol.com). This last sentence I
updated on 11-20-97. Thanks - Nat
