This is the Emo surname Family Homepage .................................We are researching the Emo name worldwide, from it's early origins in North East Italy, to the establishment of the name in Northern Europe .................................Progress has been made on separate Lines originating in Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, England and Ireland .....................................Using FTM for Windows Version # 10, we are able to display the following reports for any combination of the above countries of origin in Europe ..............

1. The Outline Descendant Tree .............................................................

2. The Genealogy Report ............................................................

We can show up to five separate reports, and in addition, there will be a link to an ' InterneTree ' allowing us to display a copy of an actual box-style tree ................................................................

All contributions are welcome, as they may help to link some of the many unconnected Groups and Families to the main body of the published online tree. We dedicate this page to the memory of Arthur Emo of Enniskillen, who now rests in Aghavea Church Yard as of 1st Jan. 1999; an inspiration to us all for 91 yrs.

The latest development is the introduction of DNA testing of the male Y-chromosome through the university of Arizona. We test for 12, 25 or 37 markers to compare male members from the many different lines of Emo's around the world. There are already comparisons posted online, which may be viewed by loging on to (ftdna.com ) or ( www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/e/emo/pats.html ) Please feel free to join up and contribute to this program. Together with the paper trails developed over the years, this new technique increases the store of knowledge on the history of the ancient Emo Family.
