1. PANTALEO2 AIMO (PATRIUS1AIMUS) was born Bef. 1297. He married UNKNOWN WIFE Aft. 1300.
Notes for PANTALEO AIMO:
Aka:- Pantaleone Aimo; his family was registered into the Venetian Nobility in 1297.
As the Guardian of the Great Council, his descendants were numbered amongst the 'Patrizi' from then onwards.
His ancestors included many men of learning, including public and military figures.
Amongst those on record were :
GIOVANNI & RIGO AIMO
In the year 1122 they appear to have underwritten a 'privilege of exemption' granted to the nobles of council from the Doge Domenico Miciel for the city and district of Bari.
GIORGIO AIMO
A Captain in the army against the Infidels in 1180 on the record of the third crusade.
He, it is said in the true testimony of the third crusade, would be the first to have raised the coat-of-arms of the Emo.
ALVISE AIMO
In 1193 he was a galley captain, under the command of Tomaso Morosini, against the Genovese.
NICOLO AIMO
In 1268 he is found amongst the electors of the Doge Lorenzo Tiepolo.
He was awarded two bands to his coat-of-arms to distinguish his own line from the others.
GIORGIO AIMO
In 1280 the green lion was superimposed on the red bands of his coat-of-arms.
He was a galley or prison commander.
