Martin Köhl's was the first burial (1869) in the family cemetery on the Gasser farm. His wife Kate and their children's families were also buried there, including Engels, Gassers, Fritzes, and Kahls. His granddaughter, Mary Raetz, donated the cemetery to the Presbyterian church.
