Hi, I have been searching for my family roots for a very long time. So far I discover all my decendants were born in NC. In the begining I have had lots of support, but my cheering team both passed away. Not saying I have to be boosted all the time, but saying I lost my excitement about continuing on. My father's father name was Henry Octavis Jones he married Hattie Mcduffic. They had a total of 22 Childrens.(8 stillborns & 14 live births) My grandmother Hattie died in 1949. Grandfather Henry remarried to another Hattie and they had no children together. My great-grandfather name was Hayes Jones, he was married to Anna Jane Register I think they had nine children all boys except for 2. Grandmother Hattie's mother mame was Mary Eliza Costin and her father name was Jackson Clarence Mcduffic sometimes called Jack. They had 11 children 8 boys and 3 girls. Great grandmother Eliza had one child prior to her married and his name was Clyde Costin. His father is not know at this time. As reported to me by Aunt Bernice Newton Mary Eliza's mother Creasy Alderman was a slave and she refuse to let her master have his way with her. So he tied her hands together in a praying postion and he shot some of her fingers off. And she went to visitmthe Jordan river to heal her crippled hands. We had our first family reunion in 1998 and have had it yearly so far. |
