Find Family

I am looking for information my maternal side of the family.
Surnames: Hoagland, Johnson, Beckman, Bliss, Fiske, Munroe, Parkhurst, Sparhawk, Wetherwax.

I am especially intrested in Monroe (Monro) and Wetherwax.

Alice Wetherwax was born in 1876, Ohio. Married Descom DeForest Hoagland. They lived in Rockville IN before moving to MA. She had a brother Tom. I would like to know more of her and her family.

This was written by my great-grandmother c.1930. Unsure how she came about the infomation.

William Monroe was married to Martha George. After the battle of Worchester he was taken prisoner (his brothers Robert and George were killed), and shipped on the "John and Sara" to Boston in 1652, sold as a Boudsman to a man in Cambridge Farms, now Lexington. In 1694 he became a selectman in Lexington, having been freed in 1609. William married three times; 1st Martha George, 2nd Mary Ball, 3rd Elizabeth Wyer.

I haven't been able to find the ships records of the "John and Sara". All I have are his marriage records. I am trying to trace him back to Scotland and his roots there.

Any help on these would be greatly appreciated. I will share whatever info I have found.

Thanks, Erika
