Obituary
Mrs. Rosalia Roffeis, widow of the late John Roffeis, died of pneumonia last Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julius Jenatchek, route 5, with which she had been ill only 2 days. Her remains were brought to the home of her son, John P. Roffeis, 806 North Fourth Street, this city, on Wednesday, from where the funeral took place this morning to St. Henry's Catholic church, where Rev. Father Schwinn conducted the services. The interment was in St. Henry's cemetery. Mrs. Roffeis was born in Austria in 1840, her maiden name being Rosalia Shlinger. Shortly after being married in 1866 she and her husband came to America and located on a farm in the town of Emmet, and from there removed to Watertown in 1911. Mr. Roffeis died in 1917. Six children survive, being Mrs. Robert Miller, route 1, Mrs. Julius Jenatchek, route 5, Frank Roffeis of Chicago, William Roffeis of Minneapolis, John P. Roffeis of this city and Emil Roffeis of route 1. Mrs. Roffeis was one of the most beloved woman residents of this section, and was possessed of a mild and sweet disposition that greatly endeared her to a large acquaintance. Her death is sincerely mourned by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Frank J. Roffeis, whose death took place in Chicago, will be held here tomorrow morning. The body arrived in the city this afternoon and was taken to the home of Mrs. John P. Roffeis, 806 North Fourth Street from where the funeral will be held Tuesday morning. Services will be held at 9:30 o'clock in St. Henry's Catholic church, the Rev. Dean F. X. Schwill officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry's cemetery. Friends may call at the Roffeis home this evening to pay their respects.
