The 25th Annual Kolbo Family Reunion will be held October 13, 2013 at 12 p.m. CT at the Callaway Community Center on West Kimball St., Callaway, Nebraska. Questions: Call Mitzi @ 435-619-0516.

First of all I would like to welcome you to my home page. If you have been here before, "Welcome Back Again." If this is your first time it means that I must have a name(s) of family members you are searching for. I hope that you will be able to find that person here. All of the information that I have accumulated prior to June 1, 1999 has been submitted to WFT and is currently on discs 27 and 30.

Since my last update there have been some recent deaths that need to be recorded: Michael Ternes passed away September 22, 2007 in Minnesota; Troy Lane Taylor passed away May 18, 2006 at his home in Apopka, Orange, Florida while under hospice care; my Aunt Alma (Johnson) Pabst passed away March 8, 2004 in Orlando, Orange, Florida and LeRoy McGinnis passed away September 16, 2004 in California.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have contacted me: Steven R. Fordyce, Ken Bielman, Marlys Slattum Nederhoff, Sandy Schwalbe, Rita (the daughter of my Aunt Rita Pitz), Darrell V. Garner and Lyndi Nielson, Jan M. Steinke; Lori Ann Reese [Warner]and the most recent person to make contact with me, Dillon Lamont Kolbo. He saw the home page and was able to make some corrections and additions to his lineage.

After checking out my homepage Lori noticed that some of the information I had was not the same as hers so she sent me the information I needed to update the family members of Miranda (Myra)Charlotte Kolbo [Hilborn], [Engels].

I would also like to thank Sister Therese Roth and Sue [Oehlerking] Smith who submitted completed geneological works; as they have helped tremendously with the amount of information they contained.

In an effort to help those who come here to further identify the person you are looking for I have included the place of birth and death and the place where an individual is buried.

I really, really, really would like to hear from anyone with information on the relatives of my wife Penny. Her father was Orville Lee McGinnis, the son of Donald Lee McGinnis and Ethel Mae Blankenship. Please refer to the outline below.

If anyone has any additions or corrections please let me know.

Some sad news: Received a letter from Roberta Nansel, Kolbo line, informing me that Jim Johnson passed away two weeks after the reunion in October 2003. His wife, Agnes, attended the October 2004 reunion and passed away at her home in bed either Sunday night or Monday night. Also Leland Kolbo's son Gary passed away September 23, 2004. My Aunt Alma Pabst (Johnson) passed away earlier this year and my Cousin Thomas Panther (Erlewein side) passed away sometime in 2004.

My sister, Pamala Rose Erlewein, passed away on May 1, 2011. She was involved in a traffic accident while riding as a passenger. After the motorcycle struck an auto she was thrown off the back and landed on the roadway. She was kept alive for about a week in the hospital in Orlando, FL.

This update includes some new births and some new deaths since the last update.
Thank you everyone!
