I am researching the ancestors and descendants of my parents, Harold C. & Julia L. Hamling.
Following are some of the surnames that have been included in my research thus far:

My research at this point in time has brought me back to Posen, Germany in 1839. The Hamlings arrived in NY in 1879-1880. Our line then migrated to Columbia County, NY and Berkshire County, MA.
Martin F. Hamling b.06/28/1873 moved to Pittsfield, MA in 1900, married Cordelia Mary Hart b.10/20/1882 on 02/23/1903 and they started a family of their own Hamlings. Harold Charles was the ninth born of a ten child household. He married the lovely Julia Louise Marlowe and they lived happily ever after,......
I am still searching for clues as to the ship the Hamlings arrived on and the town in Posen that they were from. I will also be adding information on the Marlowe side as I find it.
