Notes for Blanca Escanaverino-Mazas: September 2, 2000 by: Danay Escanaverino
I remember when I was about 8 or 9 years old, I took a walk wiht Blanca. She was elderly, adn I think she was actually my uncle, Andres' aunt. She was very sweet and patient with me, even though I was a typical child fulll of questions and chatter. We walked around my tia Margarita's house on Johnson Street in Pembroke Pines, FL, adn we enjoyed the beauty of the day together. No one before that ever really pointed out things like trees nad flowers to me. She pointed out the changing leaves and the wonder of the wind. She had a husband named Alfonso,a nd he taught me many tongue twisters. (How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood) and (I bought a box of biscuits a biscuit mixer and a box of mixed biscuits)!!!! How wonderful those memories are. They were very loving and patient wiht me and I looked forward to seeing them whenever we had family get-togethers.
