Carolina, our mother, being a doctor left Cuba in 1960 to visit a brother in New York as things in Cuba were getting worse. She started her internship at Cedars of Lebanon in New York to be able to practice her medical degree. We remained behind. Eduardo, our dad, and all of us left Cuba in 09/09/61 after failed attempts because of the Bay of Pigs Invasion in April and ended up arriving directly into Miami "por el Puente Aereo" after Kennedy and Castro worked a deal for tractors for the agricultural revolution in Cuba. Mercedes, our aunt(Cuchin) left via Jamaica in May 1961; arriving in NY a US resident sometime that June. She always lived with us!
Amanda had remained with Tito & family and left Cuba ... between 1974 & 1978
