Looking for parents & siblings of both Josiah and Elizabeth to proceed backward where other documents lead us to Poet Allen and brother Robert. Records say Elizabeth was met by her brother John Cowan and Josiah Ramsay. So we're assuming she had at least one brother named John.
Josiah & Elizabeth settled in Hancock/Claiborn Counties, TN.
