| I am currently tracing my family's genealogy back to the point where each family member came to the Americas. My family name, traces back through the ESTEP'S from Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Which is where my father was originally raised. Among the surnames I have uncovered so far are: WRIGHT, YINGLING, GARDNER, HENDON, MCCOMBS, BENLOW, VERNIMON and BEUCKERT, listed in order of their numbers in the family tree. These names all trace through my great grandfather, George Estep born in 1848 in Huntingdon County. Through my grandmother, Sybilla STAUTER, I am trying to trace the following lines, but without much luck: STAUTER and MCCOMBS My work on my mothers side of the family has not been so fruitful. This side of the family is also from Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. Right now, my work ends right at my grandparents, Frank FLYNN (probably spelled FLINN at that time) and Adelaide LYMAN. He apparently operated a business in Philadelphia (Flinn the plumber) and owned a bit of real estate until the stock market crash of 1929. After which he move to Glenmoore, Pennsylvania until his death. I do not have much information on the LYMAN's either. I do know she had relatives in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, but that is the extent of my knowledge. The help of others on the internet has helped me put all of this information together in less than a week! So I find it almost mandatory that I post my information for those who may find it helpful. If I have any information you would want, or if you think you have information for me, please feel free to write me! |
