I am trying to tie up loose ends in the William Winburn family line. William and his wife were in Boston in 1635 and they had a son named John who migrated to Virginia. John had a son named John(jr.) and this John had a son named John (III) It is about John III that I need information.
His father, John Jr. lived and died in Virginia. John III migrated to North Carolina and married Ann Hunter who was from Chowan County. John was a Lt. in the Revlutionary War and died or was killed in the war in 1777. Ann was the daughter of Elisha Hunter, of Chowan County and his wife Anne, who was the daughter of Thomas Walton, Sr., and wife Sarah Walton of Chowan County.
