Hello and welcome to my FTM homepage please feel free to send any related information. I am always willing to share any information I have. For full details of surnames and my booklist for look-ups please see my site on virgin.net, full url below.
My main family interests centre round the GUY family of Bottesford and surrounding villages in Leicestershire, England, with ancestors going back to Robert GYE circa 1450. There is also a tentative link to Widon de CREDVN (Guy of CREON) mentioned in the Domesday Book as holding lands in Leicestershire & Lincolnshire possibly the same lands still owned by the family today, but this link has not been proven. Full details on web site: - http://freespace.virgin.net/guy.etchells

The other main names in my research are my wife Kay's family the ECOTTS of Bedfordshire & Gloucestershire. Earliest known ancestor? ECOTT circa 1680s. and the PENFORD family of Leicestershire & Lincolnshire who join the GUY line with the marriage of Ann GUY & Henry Thomas PENFORD sometime between 1810 & 1859. I am grateful to Jack PENFORD for sharing the PENFORD lineage.

I am in the process of developing a Cemetery Site: - http.gye.future.easyspace.com where as well as the cemetery listings there already, I hope to put plans of the cemeteries, photos and transcriptions of the tombstones.

Hope to hear from you soon
Cheers
Guy
