Chester Howard (Chet) DeWitt (1901-1963) & Ella Marie Lamb (1901-1969) were married in 1926 & had two daughters, Sandra Mae and Marcia Ann.
Chet, a native of Millersburg, Oh., graduated from Millersburg High School. He began his almost 50 years of drug store experience at 13 working for the Patrick Drug Store in Millersburg. He attended pharmacy school at Ohio State, & was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After graduation, he returned to work for the Patrick & Rottman Drug Store in Millersburg. Later Mr. Patrick opened his own store, selling it to Chet in 1929. Chet opened the DeWitt Drug Store in 1949 & operated it until his retirement in 1961, when he sold it to his nephew Winton Krill. The store remained open until Winton retired in 1993. The store & it's contents were sold at auction on April 13, 1994, ending 45 years of service to the community. Buried in Millersburg, Ohio.
