James R. Etherton, Sr., was the son of William & Amelia (Flannery) Etherton. William was the son of Benjamin Franklin Eatherton of Wolf Creek Ky.
Both were farmers in Wolf Creek. JRE, Jr. was the father of James (Jim) R. Etherton, III. JRE Sn. migrated from Wolf Creek to Louisiville, Ky.
