Researching the following locations and surnames:

FRANCE/QUEBEC/ONTARIO: ETUE/HETU, BRISSON, LOZON, BREHMER
IRELAND/ONTARIO/MICHIGAN: CAREY, BURNS
IRELAND/WALES/OHIO: PUGH, McKINLEY, HOLMES

The ETUE/HETU's came to Quebec from France in the middle 1600's and family lines are well documented back into France and in Quebec and Ontario. Our Brehmer family also immigrated to North America from France in the mid 1800's but their line is not easy to find.

The Carey's, Burns and McKinley's all left Ireland in the middle 1800's and came to Ontario, Michigan and Ohio. The Pugh and Holmes lines were located in Ohio in the later 1800's, but their origins are not yet documented. The Lozon line has only been traced one generation back to Ontario from Michigan.
