EVANS This site represents much of the current research on the Evans family as William Evans left Wales around 1770 to Berlin Township, DELMARVA Peninsula, Maryland. His Grandson William Nane Evans immigrated to Rock Island County, Moline Township, East Moline, Illinois in 1836. He was followed by his siblings Zapporah Evans Ellingsworth in 1850, And James R Evans in 1852.Were they like most Americans of the day were farmers. Other family names are Lundeen, Baker, Evans (two cases of an Evans married to an Evans), Jones, Holloway, Moffit, and Johnston |
