My name is Leanne C. Evans. I have been reseaching my family tree for about 6 or 7 years now. So far, I have dug roots on one surname back to 1550 in Germany. I'm hitting brick walls on a few others. The surnames that I'm looking up are SMITH, SPINKS, CHAPMAN, GODDARD, POLLARDY, REEVES, RECTOR, and EDWARDS.

My grandfather, Thomas Gordan CHAPMAN, is who I'm having the most trouble with. He was born August 20, 1924 and died February 23, 1955. He served in the United States Navy as a Gunner's 3rd Mate during World War II. He was born and raised in Elyria, Ohio. I don't have many more details than that. So, if anyone could help on that aspect, please contact me!
