* Michael Evans' Family Tree Home Page*

Updated October 25, 2012

This page is lovingly dedicated to the memory of the two people who were the inspiration behind my research; my grandmother, Louise Elizabeth (Lewis) Evans-Whitley, who passed away December 19, 1996 and my father, Norman James Evans, who passed away February 3, 1997. Their collective memories formed the foundation of my family tree and I pray I do them both justice.

I am primarily researching the surnames Evans and Jackson, specifically Taylor and Sarah (Barnette) Evans and Jackson E. and Ida Mae (Jackson) Evans. I know they were from Little Birch, Braxton County, West Virginia. (Jackson and Ida are buried there.)

I am also looking for information on the surnames Barnette, Lewis (Savignaw), Harris and Gates. These names are from the area of Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia.

Also, below you'll find a report which lists all the names in my family tree, including birth date and location and death date and location. Who knows, you may find someone related to YOU!

My wife's side of the family contains the surnames Thornton from Blackshear, GA and Eberhardt from the New York area. So far, I haven't found any information on these two families.

Any information will be greatly appreciated and any info I have is available upon request.
