I am researching the Hopkins family from Brewster, Masaschusetts. Wilbur Hopkins was my mothers Grandfather, he was born in Brewster in February 1866. He married Anna Elizabeth Williams who was born in Taunton, Masaschusetts, October 1870. Together they had four children, Alton 1892, Bessie (my Grandmother) 1894, and Harrold 1896, as of the 1900 census Charles had not been born yet, so I do not have a birthdate for him. All three were born in North Attleboro, Massachusetta, which is where the family resided in 1900.
At some point they moved back to Cape Cod where my Grandmother eventually met my Grandfather, Robert Tuttle. They were married in 1918. Two years later my mother was born. Unfortunatley, five years after that Bessie died of heart complications stemming from Scarlet fever and that is where my mother's contact with the Hopkins family ends.
I am now trying to find out who Wilbur's parents were. In a listing of the Freeman Family geneology there is a Mary Freeman who married George Hopkins. Together they had eleven children, number 7 of which is Wilber, number 8, Bessie. I am relatively sure that these are my mother's Great Grandparents. Although until I find some census information, or baptismals, I can not be sure. Hopefully these names will ring a bell with someone who plugs into this page.
