About Our Family Research
In 1849 Dafydd (David)(1826-1917) and Mary (nee Jones)(1828-1895) Price left Cardiganshire, Wales for America. They lived in Newark and in 1856 they moved as a family to South Bend, Cambria, Minnesota.
They also spent some time in Jefferson Furnace near Oak Hill, Ohio. From there they moved with the Jackson Colony to Blue Earth County, Minnesota in 1856. From what we understand, they made a living from farming.
They had five children:
a son, James D Price (ap Dewi) 1850-1931 who was an Eisteddfodwr and a well known bard/poet (a photograph of ap Dewi is to be found attached to this article). James had a son, David Charles Price.
a daughter, Elizabeth PRICE who married ? Roberts. Their children were Garfield and Wayne who fought in Europe during the IInd World War.
another daughter, Anne PRICE, (1857-1881).
a son, Enoch PRICE(1862-1944). He was a baby during the Indian wars. Enoch married Elizabeth Jones and they had two sons, Dave and Ivor who lived/lives in Long Beach.
and Evan David PRICE(1865-1948) who married Hannah Hughes. They had children, Emory (Price)(1893-) and Mary (Price) who died in 1919.
Emory PRICE married Mable and moved to Pasadena, California. They had children, May Lucille (Price), born in 1917. She married ? Holman and had a daughter, Mary Gwendoline (Price) who was born in 1944. Another daughter, Edith Jane (Price) was born in 1922 and she married ? Alcoin and had a son named Steven born in 1948 and they lived in El Paso, Texas. Another daughter, Dorothy Evelyn (Price)(1920- ) married a Mr Merrett and had two sons, Wayne(1939-) and Beverly (1941-) Another child, Emory Evan PRICE (1928-) became an engineer in Los Angeles.
That is all that we know about these desendants but would like to hear from any relatives/desendents connected to the original DAFYDD and MARY PRICE. My mother was of the same (Cardiganshire) Price family! Please reply if you have any information!

We are delighted to report that we have made contact with a number of living descendants! We would welcome contact with other descendants too!
