Isaac Poe died of disease while serving with the Union Army as a SGT in the 29th Wisconsin Infantry in March 1863 at Helena, Arkansas. Coincidentally, I have a Confederate ancestor, Joseph Everett (1833-1864) of the 30th North Carolina Regiment who also died of disease; at Woodstock, VA in July 1864.
