I am researching our family history. We have traced our tree back to a James Ewin born abt 1770 in Drumcliff, Co. Sligo, Ireland and married to Deborah Dixon(or Dickson). Both died in New York, NY USA 23 Aug 1831. Our line is decended from is son John Ewin born in Balloor, Tawley, County Leitrim, Ireland, who married Margaret Moorhead of Banelly County, Tyrons, Ireland in Baltimore, MD on 26 Aug 1835. Our branch of the clan has lived mostly in and around the Baltimore, MD & Washingotn D.C area.
We are also looking for any Thour ancestors - the Thour family name in our tree is ending with no males to pass on the name after my great uncles Charles and William, sons of my greatgrand parents August Carl Thour and Anna Barbara Huth, passed.
