W R. A native of Sequatclie county, he was born near where he now lives, January 7, 1835, and is a son of John and Zilpah (Cooper) Henson. The father born in 1794, and died May 27, 1872 on the farm where our subject now resides. He was three, times married, his first wife being Susie Thurman.
