I am Researching the following surnames: Exendine, Oxendine, Shirley, Laughlin, Garrison and Roller. Earliest ancestor found so far is George Washington Garrison who was born in Cape May, New Jersey on July 4th, 1827. On the Exendine side, I have traced my earliest ancestor back to Archibald Oxendine. He was born in 1766 in South Carolina. My wife's maiden name is Bodenstein so I am also looking for information on the surnames Bodenstein and Cook. Finding information is proving to be much more difficult on her side. Her grandfather was born in German and moved to the United States before World War I. Any information would be appreciated, I will gladly share any information I have. |
