As a personal quest I have started to research my family history, beginning with the surnames of FAAST, BEST, HOFFMAN, and IRRTHUM. I know that there is not many generations existing in the Midwest USA and then I will be overseas to Austria and Germany.My search now encludes the following surnames: PRESTON, PERKINS, FANNING/FANNIN/FANNON, CARPENTER, HOLMES.Any lineages for these surnames would be greatly appreciated, along with any corrections to the report.
