This Poem was found in family bible-- Written, Ca 1853

Grace Hoskins, is my name,
England is my nation,
Tortland is my dwelling place
and Christ is my salvation.

When I am dead and in my grave,
and all my bones are rotten,
Take up this book, and in it read, and see
I am not fogotten.

as a footnote to this poem, --a lock of her hair was inserted into a page of the bible.This lock of hair remains in the possession of the author.
