Dennis Hogan, a life-long citizen of this community, died at a hospital in Lansing Saturday morning. A short time ago he had a heart attack in front of the postoffice and was taken to his home and his son, Tom, of Lansing was notified. When he arrived he found him in critical condition and took him to his home and later to the hospital. He leaves a son, William, in Lansing and a daughter in Detroit. Funeral was held from the Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock with burial in the family lot, by the side of his wife preceded him in death many years ago.

Dennis Hogan, 87, died early Saturday morning at the home of his son Wm. Hogan in Lansing. Mr Hogan, who was a life long resident of Hubbardston and vicinity was taken ill only about a week ago and was moved to Lansing by his son, where death came.
His wife, Mary Loftis Hogan and one son preceded him in death. Surviving are one son, Wm. Hogan of Lansing, one daughter, Mrs Kate Apple of Detroit, also grandchildren and other relatives.
Mr. Hogan was a familiar figure around town, having lived alone here for many years and will be greatly missed by his many friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from St. John the Baptist church.

James Loftus passed away at his home one mile north and two miles east of Hubbardston Tuesday morning at 3 o;clock. He had a slight stroke several months ago but seemed to be getting over it when pneumonia set in. James Loftus was born near Lyons 69 years ago and came to this place when he was married. He married Etta McMillian 24 years ago last May. They had no children of their own but adopted a boy, who is now residing in Chicago. Margaret Loftus of Hubbardston, is the only sister living. He leaves her and wife and adopted son to mourn besides many friends. His funeral will be Friday morning at the St. John's Catholic church, Hubbardston.

James Loftus, 69, well know farmer residing north and east of Hubbardston, died early Tuesday morning after illness which dated from the first of the year.
Mr. Loftus was highly esteemed by all who knew him, and was one of the solid and substantial citizens of the Hubbardston community. He was well know in Carson City and was a member of the K. of C.
Mr Loftus was born at Lyons and had resided near Hubbardston since he was a small boy. He is survived by his wife and a sister, Margaret Loftus. Funeral services will be held at St. John church Friday morning, Rev. Flannigan officiating.

Mrs. Etta Loftus , 71, of Hubbardston, died Thursday evening of last week in the Clinton Memorial hospital at St. Johns following a two weeks illness. She was born in Norwood, Ont., but came to this locality with her parents when a small child and has since lived here. Following the death of her husband 16 years ago she left their farm and moved into the village of Hubbardston.
She is survived by one son, John of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Joh of Hubbardston, William and Joseph of Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Karn of Chicago, Katherine McMillen of Detroit, Miss Mayme McMillen, and Mrs. Anna Williams of Hubbardston.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:30 from St. John the Baptist church of Hubbardston with Father Eugene Fox officiating. Interment was made in the Hubbardston Catholic cemetery.
