The Fajardo Home Page

I have finally taken the big step. I have jumped in and hope I will not drown. I recently began researching my family since it is very important to leave my mark after I am gone. Hope it is later rather than sooner. The information I have been able to get so far, indicates that the Fajardo surname came to Puerto Rico from Spain and perhaps the Canary Islands. Presently most of my information relates to my father, Pascasio Fajardo Martinez. Unfortunately, the only information I have regarding my mother is her name, Maria Ruiz Maldonado (Mayaguez). It may be Maria Maldonado Ruiz. I am also researching the surnames of Martinez Castro (Ciales) Cardona (Cabo Rojo)and, of course, Fajardo (Mayaguez, Cabo Rojo, San German, Hormigueros).
