Could anyone please help me with the following?
My grandparents were JAMES JOHN FALLON, and MARY OLIVE FALLON, both born in Liverpool around 1901-1907 They both lived in Blackburn, and died there in the 1980's, having lived at 10 ENAMEL STREET for around 40 years. My information so far states that my GGFather JOHN JOSEPH FALLON came originally from BALLYSADARE in CO SLIGO. Born in 1882 he at some point moved to Liverpool and served in the Great War. He died on the 20 July 1918 aged 36 and was buried at Blackburn cemetry, so he must have moved to Blackburn at some time during his life. There was talk that he came from SLIGO with two brothers, one of which was named DOMINIC. My grandparents are both said to have worked in the hotel and catering trade and had worked on the ISLE OF MAN (I think this is where they met.) I believe they also both worked in a local (Blackburn) Hotel or Pub, it may have been the ADELPHI or another situated on the Boulevard in Blackburn. My Grand father also is said to have been based at DOVER during the Second World War in the ACK ACK Regiment.
There is some confusion to my Grandmothers maiden name, my father remembers a lady referred to as Grandma TAYLOR, but he also heard that my Grandmother's maiden name could have been CURTESS-GRAHAM (or a variation on the spelling).I believe that the lady referred to as Grandma TAYLOR also lived in ENAMEL STREET Blackburn. Another name which my Father vaguely remembers to be associated on my Grandmothers side is SCHENK (again this may not be the correct spelling).
I would like any information possible or advice on where to look to get the information, and any help would be gratefully received.
