George's children didn't remember much about their elder relatives. As kids they were always put separate from the older family. They were taught to respect & listen but not to be heard.
As George got older, his mind started changing & turning bitter.
George's 2nd. wife, Ruby, left him & moved in with one of her kids. George moved in with his son Fred. Fred was his son by his 1st. wife, Inda. George told Ruby he would kill himself if she didn't go back to him. She wouldn't, so he shot himself. He lived but lost his ribs on one side. His insides then hung out to his side instead of in front. Ruby moved back with him. After that, things were not the same. George turned into a hateful man. Kids & grand kids stayed at a distance.
