Notes for REV. BARRY TAYLOR TWILLEY:
Taylor was a preacher in the New Hope Association of Baptist Churches. Taylor said that he & his cousin, William Rufus, would preach revivals together when they were younger. I, Felton, can remember Uncle Taylor preaching and really poured out the fear of God, repentance unto salvation and living a Godly life.
Taylor owned part of the Shug Twilley place. He was born a hunch-back and doctors said that he would never walk, but he has had a long & productive life. He fathered 5 fine, normal children.
