Welcome to the Fariñas Family Home Page. We look forward to researching our ancestors thoroughly and respectfully, and we certainly are committed to cooperate with other families and organizations in the pursue of the genealogical facts that may be of mutual interest. The Farinas Family (also Familia Fariñas) is actively researching its ancestors and all potential relatives with the same surname. This Home Page pertains to those Farinas who used to live back in Cuba, specifically around the central province, i.e., Las Villas. In the early fifties several members disseminated throughout the island and abroad, which explains the presence of Farinas in Havana, Camajuani, Placetas, Santa Cruz del Sur, Santa Clara, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, and USA. We firmly believe we are connected to some other branches of Farinas that we have heard of. After all, this is not one of the most common surnames in our Hispanic culture, although we know of Farinas from Havana, Camagüey and Oriente. We have traced our branch back to 1794 (birthyear of Domingo Fariñas, married to Panchita Flores born in 1799). Any information that may be related to a Farinas (Fariñas) will be greatly appreciated, and conversely we are willing to cooperate with any person with a legitimate interest in our family.
