Parents and 4 children are listed in the 1860 Armstrong Twp. Vanderburgh County census. This census says both of Ambrosius' parents were born in Prussia. Children Elizabeth, Magdalena and Catherine are listed in the St. Wendel church birth records. Since son John was born in Ohio in 1850, we can assume they came to Indiana between 1850 and 1853. The 1870 Armstrong Township census didn't list them, but in 1880 Ambrosius and Katherina were living there alone.
