He married MARY SAX October 06, 1891 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of STEFAN SAX and ANNA PETRAK. She was born April 05, 1876 in Dubrava, Slovakia, and died November 17, 1942 in Johnstown, PA.

Valentine Fatula,age 66 years, whose health had been impaired for a long time, passed away at 9;30 am Dec 24, 1931 at his home at, 331 Harold Ave, Lower Yoder Township. death due to a complication of diseases.      The deceased was born in Slovakia, coming to America 43 years ago[1878], to work for Cambria Iron Works .He become a pensioner of the Bethlehem Steel Corp a year ago when his health became impaired.
      The deceased was married here in 1891 to Miss Mary Sax, the ceremony having been performed at St Stephan's Slovak Church, Chestnut street, by Rev. Father Francis Horvath. She survives him with six sons and a daughter, as follows: Mrs Rose Halboky, of Power St; Valentine Fatula Jr., of Mc Conaughy St; Stephan and John Fatula, of Gray, Somerset County; Frank Fatula; of D St; Joseph Fatula, of 308 Harold Ave and Thomas Fatula at home. The six sons will serve as pallbearers.
Valentine Fatula was one of the oldest members of St Stephen's parish and was affiliated with St Mary's Rosary Society connected with the Parrish. The funeral will take place on Thursday morning from St Stephen's Church, a requiem mass to be said by Rev. Father John Martvon. Interment will be in the church cemetery in Lower Yoder Township.

The following information was obtained from Declaration of Intention Vol. 115 No. 17195 filed in Common Pleas Court, Ebensburg, Cambria County, Penna on July 28, 1938 by Mary Fatula.

She was born in Wallingdorf, Slovakia, April 5, 1876, sailed to the USA from Bremen, Germany, entered the USA on Dec 13, 1885. Port of entry was Baltimore, Md., the name of the ship is unknown.

MRS. MARY FATULA
AGED 67, SUCCUMBS


Mrs Mary Fatula, aged 67, of 331 Harold Ave, Lower Yoder, Township, widow of Valentine Fatula, died at 9 o'clock this morning at her home of complications of ailments. Born in Czecho-Slovakia, a daughter of Stephen and Anna Sax. Mrs Fatula resided in Johnstown for the past 60 years. Her husband died on December 22, 1931.

Surviving are seven children--- Rose, wife of John Hilboky, 331 Harold Ave, with whom she resided; Valentine, 417 Broad Street; Frank, D St, Johnstown, R. D. 5; Stephen, Gray, Pa.; Joseph, 308 Harold Ave; John, Robindale, and Thomas, Conemaugh. There are 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs Fatula was one of the most active workers at St Stephen's Church and held membership the the Rosary Society and St Mary's Lodge, Branch 5, affiliated with the church. Funeral services will be conducted at the church at 9 o'clock, Friday morning by Rev. Father John J. Martvon, pastor. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Frank J, Pentrack & Son.
