I am currently researching the Lawrence side of my New York family. I've dated it back to Elisha Allen, born in 1760's, who fought in the American Revolutionary War. George Lawrence married Elisha's granddaughter Maria Ellis. Maria and George lived in Pierrepont or Russell, New York.
