| The residents of Meaderville were primarly Italians and some English. As in most mining camps there were saloons in Meaderville there were 25/30 with bocci alleys There were boarding house tocare for the single men and resturants a drug store also merchandise store A. C. GROOSO. Meaderville houses were filled with sounds of daily lives. The Italian that lived in Meaderville had great pride in there town and there work in the mines. The spirit of this color full Italian community only remain a memory, My Grandfather Favero came from Vistrorio Italy My Grandmother Favero (Vietti) from Balengro Italy My Grandfather Bertoglio and Granmother (Giacoma) from Castelnova Nigra (sale) Italy Northern Italian from the Piedmont area of Italy |
