Notes for Emma Deria Akin: CHILDRESS INDEX, CHILDRESS, TX JUNE 22, 1962 MRS. FRITH DIES; RITES SATURDAY Mrs. Emma Deria Frith 64, 1004 Avenue E, NW., died at 12:30 a.m today at Childress General Hospital after being stricken a short time before with an apparent heart attack. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church by the pastor Rev. Joe Allen. Pallbearers will be Shelby Wilson, James Holton, Mile Wilson, D.O. Nash, Ebb Petty and Tom Fisher. Interment will be in Childress Cemetery by Newberry Funeral Home. Mrs. Frith was born November 23, 1897 in Arkansas and had lived here for 32 years. She married J.L. Frith June 28, 1918 at Charleston and they moved to Childress County from Cooper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband: one son, Hulen Frith of Childress; five daughters, Mrs. Lillian Norris of Childress, Mrs. Vivian Seeley of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Joyce Goodwin of Lubbock, Mrs. Fay Basham of Cooper, Mrs. Evalee Bradley of Fort Worth; one sister Mrs. Ella Bassham of Orange; and two brothers, Virgil Akins of Paris and Roy Akins of Lubbock.
