Mr. Buck Akin, Will answer your most kind and welcom letter which come to hand some time ago. Was glad to here from you. All glad you was all up. This leaves all well but the children has been exposed to the mumps But they haven't taken them yet. Well Buck I guess you have planted some by now. I have planted my corn but will have to plant it over. I am going to plant my cotton next week if it gets dry enough. It has come a big rain down here the bottoms have all over flowed send yesterday morning and they sure are high. Well Buck I wish I could see you all. Tell Rindy and Emma I sure would like to see them. Well I haven't had the pictures made yet but when I do I will send all one a piece, You ask me if I knew Jim Peterson was dead. Yes I knew he was dead but I didn't know Bills girl was dead. Sure did hate to here of her death. One of my girls husband died the 4th of Nov. and she hadn't been married not quite two years. Say Buck how are you getting along eating corn bread. We have to eat it twiste a day. We don't get but six pounds a head per month. and we will have to eat it far breakfast before this month is gone but well have learnt to love it. Well Buck they haven't taken any of my boys yet but are going to call seven thousand 8 hundred and seventeen out of Texas the 26th of this month in five days Well they may not get my boys, I hope not so I will close far this time.
