The following typed descriptions of the Weddings of four of the daughters of William and Catherine (Lovie) Qualtrough are from newsclippings which were published in the Waikato Independent Newspaper (later the Cambridge Independent) on the dates noted. They are recorded here for posterity.

Wedding Bells
SCHWARZ -
QUALTROUGHA very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday, June 6th, at the residence of the bride’s parents, Fencourt, when Mary, fifth daughter of Mr & Mrs Wm. Qualtrough, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr Bruno Schwarz of Matamata. The Rev. W. Beck of Cambridge officiated at the ceremony. The bride looked very nice in a navy blue travelling costume; she was attended by her sister Annie as bridesmaid, who wore a white muslin dress, relieved with pale blue. Mr Ernest Schwarz, cousin of the bridegroom, acted as best man.
After the ceremony all adjourned to the barn, which was nicely decorated for the occasion, where about 50 people sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The usual toasts were proposed and responded to. The presents were both numerous and costly. The happy couple left amidst showers of rice and the good wishes of all, by the mid-day train for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be spent.

SHAW -
QUALTROUGH
At the residence of the bride’s parents, on Thursday morning, and interesting wedding was celebrated when Mr Chas. Shaw of Pukekura and Miss Amy Qualtrough, sixth daughter of Mr Wm. Qualtrough, of Fencourt, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. The Rev. W.Gow of Trinity Presbyterian Church, officiated. The bride was given away by her father and was attended by her sister as bridesmaid. Mr C Shaw, cousin of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony, many friends were received and hospitality entertained by Mr and Mrs Qualtrough.
The bride was attired in a stylish white dress and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid wore a white dress, relieved with blue. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a handsome gold brooch set with diamonds and rubies and to the bridesmaid a gold brooch.
Mr and Mrs Shaw were recipients of many useful presents.
The young couple left on their honeymoon, which will be spent at Te Aroha and Auckland, amidst showers of rice and the good wishes of their friends.
The bride’s travelling dress was a navy blue costume, with hat to match.

FEISST -
QUALTROUGHA quiet but pretty wedding took place at the residence of the bride’s parents yesterday, when Maggie, the third daughter of Mr & Mrs W Qualtrough of Fencourt, was united in marriage to Mr Henry Feisst, eldest son of Mr H. Feisst also of Fencourt. The bride looked charming in a brown cloth costume with cream silk yoke and hat to match. The bride was attended by her sister Miss Katie Qualtrough, who was dressed in a navy blue cloth costume with white satin facings. The bridegroom was supported by his brother Edward. The marriage was conducted by the Rev. W.J.Gow, of Trinity Presbyterian Church. After partaking of the wedding breakfast, the happy couple left amidst showers of rice, by the midday train for Auckland, where the honeymoon is to be spent.

QUALTROUGHOn Tuesday last a pretty wedding took place at the residence of the bride’s parents, when Annie Emily, the fourth daughter of Mr & Mrs W. Qualtrough, of the Pines, Fencourt, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Ernest Albert, the fourth son of Mr Frank Schwartz, of Boerne, Texas, USA. The ceremony was performed by Rev W.J. Gow. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in a navy blue tailor-made costume, and was attended by her sister Lily as bridesmaid, who was dressed in a figured muslin. The bridegroom was attended by his cousin Mr Robert Feisst, as best man. After the wedding breakfast was over the happy couple left, admist showers of rice, by the mid-day express for Te Aroha where the honeymoon will be spent.
